Ingredients

 • 1 kg ground beef
 • 6 onions
 • 1 whole garlic
 • ¾ cup of round red chilies
 • 4 tablespoons raw papaya paste
 • 2 cups yogurt
 • 1-2 cup oil
 • 2 teaspoons roasted cumin seeds
 • 1 teaspoon salt

Preparation

In a sauce pan, pour oil and fry the onions. When they turn transparent, add red chilies and garlic cloves and fry until they turn golden brown. Remove from heat and let them cool down. Now, blend the fried mixture with yogurt and raw papaya paste. Add this mixture to the beef. Then, add cumin seeds, salt and ¼ cup oil. Marinate and keep it overnight in the fridge. Now, add the meat in a pot and cook on low flame for about 60 minutes. Once the water dries up and the meat starts binding together, add a piece of charcoal. After 10 minutes of smoking, turn off the flame. Serve with lemons and onions.
